Roloflex Limited, the Pershore –
based flexographic printer, now operating
as Scandiflex UK, combines the qualities
developed over 8 years of providing
print services to suppliers of film
to the food packaging industry with
the expertise and innovative approach
for which the Scandiflex group of
companies has become known since 1986.
Scandiflex is Sweden’s leading
producer of short-run, laminate packaging
solutions for food products and was
conceived as a direct response to
a pressing customer need. Packaging
purchasers, food manufacturers and
retailers, all sought greater flexibility,
faster delivery and the opportunity
to order smaller batches.
Roloflex was established in 1995 to
offer suppliers of food packaging
the kind of response times for printed
films increasingly demanded by retailers
in search of time-based competitive
advantage and very much embraced the
values of service and flexibility
upon which the Scandiflex success
had been built.
So, late in 2003 Roloflex became part
of the Scandiflex Pac Group AB, the
synergies offered by a joining of
forces being irresistible.
The UK operation, trading as Scandiflex
UK, offers the same unique solutions
for which Scandiflex, Sweden has become
synonymous while at the same time
continuing the high level of service
provision upon which Roloflex built
its reputation.
Big in small batches, a choice that
Scandiflex made at its inception,
is a characteristic that sits easily
with the UK operation, no order, no
matter how small, being ignored.

and a streamlined production department

Paperflow ™ into the UK market.
Some of the UK’s most influential
retailers quickly realised that this
was not only “clever packaging”,
but also a great marketing tool. Both
structures lend a truly authentic
look and feel to premium products
and are excellent examples of how
creativity and imagination can make
a world of difference.
But in some very important ways there
is no difference at all.
You can use standard thermoforming
packaging machines to work with Paperbase™
and any type of flow-wrapper can accommodate
Paperflow™. Add to this the
ability to print the highest quality
flexo and you have a packaging solution
that not only offers all the required
barrier properties but gives you a
pack that makes your product stand
out on the shelves.
Paperbase™ and Paperflow™
are both unique to Scandiflex but
the group manufactures all “conventional”
structures for cool-shelf food packaging.
The group now offers four production
facilities – three for printing
and lamination and a polyethylene
plant producing film for hygiene and
other products in the food, horticultural
and lamination sectors.
The UK sales team, although small,
has all the group resources at its
disposal while the manufacturing base
in England, likewise, is a local envoy
for the whole group. For any packaging
